We hope Kanto feels like a small comfort, a warm corner, and a place you’ll want to come back to.
Our story
Kanto was born from missing home.
What began as baking for our own family—trying to recreate familiar flavours we grew up with—slowly became something more. Living far from home made us realise how powerful food can be: how it carries memory, comfort, and connection.
The name Kanto means corner. For us, it represents a place where cultures meet, where stories are shared, and where people can pause—if only for a moment. Inspired by our Filipino and Korean roots, we wanted to create a space that felt warm, welcoming, and deeply personal.
We built Kanto by hand.
From renovating the space ourselves to developing every product from scratch, we chose care over convenience and intention over shortcuts. Each bake reflects the flavours we missed, the textures we love, and the traditions we wanted to share—soft breads, comforting cakes and thoughtful pairings with coffee.
More than a bakery, Kanto is our way of opening a corner of home to the community.
A place where neighbours gather, cultures are celebrated, and everyone is welcome—whether you’re here for something familiar or something new.
Thank you for being part of our corner.
